Connecting HOOK to LOOP is not new.  It was invented and patented in 1952 by the VELCRO® Brand Companies.  Historically, hook-and-loop has a well-deserved reputation as fuzzy, hairy, scratchy, and even industrial.  We use hook-and-loop to fasten shoes, our pants and to hang stuff.  Hook-and-loop has never been stylish or cool... UNTIL NOW!
